lippies

Just a pic of different lippies I have.  I love them all.  I am actually pleasantly surprise with the one from Rimmel, it was on sale in Ulta and the color is gorgeous.  The texture is not sticky at all, kind of like Silk Naturals and very moisturizing as well.  I love it, definitely a great buy.  The MAC one is definitely "sticky" compared to the others, but it's tolerable.  Maybe next time I will do some swatches with the Stila I had, those are nice too.

Ahhh... and lip tars.  They are actually pretty great and should last a very long time.  Planning to add them to some lip balm base and play a little.  A tiny dot is enough (or even too much) for the entire lips, they stained a little too... but not sticky or anything like that.  I like them.  I love the colors I got.

 

Again, my picture is lacking in quality (eg:  the duo-chrome color with vivid and the pretty shimmers from some of them).  And I don't want to spread the lip gloss too much, as you may not be able to see it... but I am sure if you google it, you will find other swatches from some other capable hands. :)

LORAC 3D lip gloss

I placed an order with Sephora like 2 weeks ago (?) for a foundation, and then I thought while I was at it, I might as well order more than just that and I remember LORAC 3D lip gloss. I don't remember how I learned about it, but it's from this page, she did a great job capturing the color, so I got that. I played with it a bit, it's a very cool color. It's almost as sticky as Stila Lip Glaze. I don't detect any smell, but I can't smell. It holds 0.17 oz of product. I like it quite a bit. I know Ulta carry them too.

Mac Blot Powder

I am never really brand loyal. I use whatever works for me and whatever I like and can afford. Yesterday I went to Mac and purchased its pressed blot powder (medium shade for me). Lately I am having issue with my foundation not giving me enough coverage and that my face get shiny fast, so I googled about this product and there are some pretty good feedback and I love that it's portable and I don't have to carry loose powder in a jar and a brush! I gave it a test run today when I had to literally run out of the door to meet a friend for a walk, I was a bit sweaty and I know I am shiny, so I used a face brush and dab some powder and applied it on my face in dabbing motion (not sweeping), cuz that's how the MUA did on my face and I have to say after the walk and I checked the mirror, it's still quite matte. :) It doesn't give you coverage, but oil control (which is what I want) and I don't know what will happen if you put on too much. One thing I don't like is that the puff that comes with the compact is rather crappy. So I would either get some nicer puff or use a brush. I did get some new puffs, since those puffs aren't really for washing over and over again. I would definitely repurchase when I am done with it.
